Welcome to our site! I love spiders as you can probably tell. What started off as morbid curiosity deriving from severe arachnophobia quickly turned into a passion. By photographing and learning to ID different spiders in the area I learned to appreciate the incredible diversity they have and that they really don’t deserve the bad reputation.
Jumping spiders in the Phidippus genus are very special to me. The way they tilt their heads and wiggle their pedipalps when they get excited has a quality to it that makes them irresistibly cute. Their adorable fuzzy butts and remarkable curiosity are the reason I call them “Phidipups”. I want to share my experience with raising and breeding these awesome creatures with the world!
